Eugene and Leslie met in New York City at a restaurant called Parea. Leslie had just gotten back in town from doing “Miss Saigon” in Ohio and Eugene was at the bar with his friend Ed, who was a contestant on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”, that day. Ed’s efforts weren’t as victorious as he had hoped and the guys needed a night out. They were supposed to be meeting a friend of the family from Canton, Ohio, and when Eugene ran into Leslie, he asked her if she was the girl they were meeting, Kate. She said “no”, but was happy to introduce herself to Eugene. She spoke with him a few more times that night, and they exchanged information.
Eugene returned the following week to Parea, where Leslie was training, and she felt that she needed to call this handsome man. They had an amazing first date and first kiss at Jules, a French bar, where Eugene would propose to Leslie later. After their second date, it was clear that this was something that was really amazing and would last. They went on to fall in love and had an unbelievable spring and summer. Leslie moved to the East Village, close to where Eugene was living, and they enjoyed eating out and enjoying city life, while pursing their careers, in the Sport’s industry and Off-Broadway.
On October 24th, Eugene proposed at Jules and Leslie said “Yes!”, and it was official. They have had an amazing year and a half of sharing friends, family, ups and downs, and a lot of love. They cannot wait to share their special day with you!!
